The 2nd Annual African American Future Teacher Fair will be held on Wednesday, March 28, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Education Building Rm. 140 (5005 N. Maple Ave.) at California State University, Fresno.

Sponsored by the School of Education and Human Development, the conference is designed to attract and recruit African American students into an education career.

The conference was begun last year after a study by the Education Equity Committee at Fresno State indicated a need for more African American teachers locally, said committee chair Dr. Jose Lomeli, an associate professor in the Curriculum, teaching and Educational Technology Department of the School of Education and Human Development.
