Fresno State’s 92nd
Commencement Set The 92nd Commencement at will be held on Saturday, May 17 – one week earlier than in previous years. The university issued its Commencement Week schedule that begins with the Fresno State/COS Center Celebration in Visalia on May 10 and ends with the Nursing Pinning Ceremony on May 17 in Fresno. The university’s General Commencement begins at 8:30 a.m. in Bulldog Stadium and generally runs approximately two hours. Two of the larger celebrations are the Graduate Degree Hooding Ceremony, which will be Friday, May 16 in the Amphitheatre at 6 p.m. and the Latino Commencement Celebration in Bulldog Stadium on Saturday, May 17 at 5:45 p.m. Students began to purchase their cap and gowns in the Kennel Bookstore at the annual Alumni Association Grad Fair last month with sales increasing steadily, said Kennel spokesperson Tamara Rose. For bookstore hours, call 278-4062 or visit the web site. The Dean’s Medalists and Honorary Doctorate will be announced in the coming weeks.
