2.  Is it legal to raise fees after they have been advertised in the Schedule of Courses at a lesser rate?

Yes, statutory authority allows the fees to be increased.  Fees are advertised in the Schedule of Courses with a disclaimer that they are subject to change without advance notice.

 3.  Why are fees being increased for Fall '03 Semester, and who made this decision?

Budgetary shortfall at the state level has caused the CSU Trustees to increase fees. In order to maintain the current level and quality of classes and services to students, this increase was necessary.

If you are a recipient of a State University Grant (SUG) your grant will be increased by an amount that will offset the fee increase.

Fees need to be paid by September 26, 2003.

6.  I already paid my Fall '03 Fees, what do I have to do?

The fee increase will be added to your account balance. Please pay this balance on or before the due date of September 26, 2003.

7.  Can I use my credit card to pay for the increase?

Yes, you may pay with a Visa or Master Charge card at the cashiering windows of the Joyal Administration Building.

8.  What happens if I don't pay the fee increase?
