Smittcamp Family Honors College Class to Graduate

Mr. and Mrs. Earl Smittcamp, seated, and Fresno State President John D. The students are the first graduating class of the Honors College, which entered the university in 1999. Dr. Welty said the first class “performed well beyond our expectations,” adding that the Smittcamp Family Honors College “has transformed our campus.” He told the students that Earl and Muriel Smittcamp, Fresno State alumni, are excellent role models who have taken full advantage of their education and contributed to the community. Earl Smittcamp said: “Of all the things we do for Fresno State, nothing gives us more pleasure than the Smittcamp Family Honors College.”
