Traffic and Parking Information

for the Save Mart Center at Fresno State

Traffic flow:

Before major events, visitors are encouraged to travel to the Save Mart Center via Bullard or Barstow avenues, then turning south on Chestnut or Woodrow Avenues.

Drivers heading east (toward Clovis) on Shaw Avenue may make a left turn into the Save Mart Center parking lot on Woodrow Avenue. Eastbound drivers WILL NOT BE ALLOWED to turn left onto Chestnut.

Directions:

• From the Northwest: Take Herndon Avenue to Cedar Avenue and proceed South on Cedar Avenue.  Turn left on Bullard Avenue, then turn right Chestnut; or turn left on Barstow Avenue and turn right on Woodrow or Chestnut. Continue south to parking areas.

• From the Northeast:  Take Herndon Avenue to Chestnut Avenue, and proceed South on Chestnut. Pass Barstow and continue south to parking areas.   

• From Clovis: Take Clovis Avenue to Barstow Avenue.  Head west on Barstow Avenue, then turn left on Chestnut Avenue. Continue south on Chestnut Avenue to parking areas. 

• Traveling South on Highway 99: 

Take Herndon Avenue exit, turn left onto Herndon Avenue.  Continue east on Herndon Avenue to First Street, turn right.  Continue south on First Street to Barstow Avenue, turn left.  Continue east on Barstow Avenue and then turn right at Woodrow or Chestnut. Continue to parking areas.  

• Traveling North on Highway 99:

Take Highway 41 North to Freeway 180 East toward Kings Canyon; merge onto Freeway 168 East toward Huntington Lake. Take the Ashlan Avenue exit, turn left onto Ashlan and then turn right at Cedar Avenue. Take Cedar Avenue to Barstow Avenue, turn right. Continue east on Barstow and then turn right at Woodrow or Chestnut. Continue to the parking area.   

• Traveling North on Freeway 41:

Take the Bullard Avenue exit, turn right. Continue east Bullard to First Street, turn right. Continue south on First Street to Barstow Avenue, turn left.  Continue east on Barstow Avenue and then turn right at Woodrow Avenue or Chestnut. Continue to parking areas.   

• Traveling South on Freeway 41:

Take the Herndon Avenue exit, turn left. Continue east on Herndon Avenue to First Street, turn right. Continue south on First Street to Barstow Avenue, turn left.  Continue east Barstow Avenue and then turn right at Woodrow or Chestnut. Continue to parking areas.   

Event parking:

$7 for cars, $15 for limos, $25 for buses and RV

Helpful Hint: Please have exact change ready to speed your entry to the parking areas, and keep traffic moving.

$3 per vehicle for women’s basketball

Three parking lots are available adjacent to the Save Mart Center:

• North Lot – 2,432 spaces in a paved lot north of the Save Mart Center
• East Lot – 2,037 spaces in a gravel lot east of Chestnut Avenue
• Lot V – 800 spaces in a campus lot west of the Save Mart Center    

Additional campus event parking will be available on weekends, holidays and other times when the University is not in session.

University police will issue tickets to violators.

Handicap accessible parking is in the North Lot near the arena.
