Agricultural experts from the College of Agriculture Sciences and Technology at California State University, Fresno will be available to the media today while on location in Stanislaus County. They are in town for Fresno State’s Ag One Stanislaus County Alumni and Friends dinner on tonight at Durrer’s Barn in Modesto.

This afternoon, they will tour several influential agricultural processing and production facilities where they will be available to media, including:

1:00 p.m. โ€” Duarte Nursery (1618 Baldwin Rd. โ€” Hughson CA)

The faculty will meet with Steve Schuber, Jim Duarte (VP Sales and Marketing), and Dr. Javier Castillion, who will discuss plant and nursery operation, laboratory and plant propagation practices.

3:00 p.m. – Hilmar Cheese (9001 N. Lander Ave. โ€” Hillmar, CA)

Fresno State faculty members will meet with education director Denise Skidmore and observe the operation of incoming milk made into cheese and the cooperation of dairymen in the production process.
