The FFA is holding two major events in Fresno: the 76th annual State FFA Conference that began Thursday and runs through April 20 and the 2004 FFA Field Day and State Finals that will be held on Saturday, April 17 at California State University, Fresno,

The state conference has brought students, teachers and FFA alumni from around the state to the Fresno Convention Center and Fresno State for leadership contests, motivational speakers and state officer elections.

National FFA President Javier Moreno will speak Saturday (April 17) at 8 p.m and motivational speaker Sam Glenn will speak Sunday (April 18) at 8:30 a.m., both in Selland Arena.

On Saturday (April 17) the 2004 FFA Field Day and State Finals will be held on campus from 8 a.m. to about noon.

Organizers expect 2,000 FFA members from throughout the state to participate in the career

development event sponsored by Fresno State’s College of Agricultural Sciences and Technology.
