Fresno State Alumni BBQ in Georgia is Aug. 21

Georgia will be invaded by Bulldogs of a California kind on Saturday, Aug. 21, when the “Fresno State Bulldog BBQ in Georgia” is held in Alpharetta.

Fresno State alumna Susan O’Dwyer is organizing the event with the Alumni Association of California State University, Fresno. It will be held at her home from 4 to 7 p.m.

Dr. Peter Smits, Vice President for University Advancement at Fresno State, will attend to greet the former Bulldogs. More than 200 Fresno State alumni live in Georgia. Fresno State is one of the 23 campuses in the California State University system, the largest public university system in the United States.

The family event, which will include games for children, is the first of several that the Fresno State Alumni Association is planning this fall to establish better ties with its alumni across the country.

Tickets to the Georgia BBQ are $10 for adults and $5 for children.
