The College of Health and Human Services at Fresno State is offering a fun-filled day of workshops and tours for junior high and high school students to learn more about innovative health programs that the university has to offer.
The expo is TODAY from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a welcome orientation to be held in the North Gymnasium. Approximately 500 students from the Central and Northern California region are expected to attend.
In 2005, the expo was created and has served as a resource to help junior high and high school students learn more about health careers.
This event marks the first opportunity for most junior high and high school students to experience a college atmosphere. The expo is designed to highlight our diverse programs and serves as a wonderful recruitment tool.
Faculty and graduate students from the College of Health and Human Services will be leading the following sessions:
• Nursing Resources Lab- Nursing Department
• Human Performance Lab- Kinesiology Department
• Speech, Hearing, and Language Clinic- Communicative Disorders & Deaf Studies Department
• Gait, Balance, and Mobility Clinic- Physical Therapy Department
• Ropes Leadership Course- Recreation, Administration, and Leisure Studies Department
• Social Work Workshop- Social Work Education Department
• Health Science Workshop- Health Science Department
