Maddy Institute begins quarterly e-newsletter 

The Maddy Institute at California State University, Fresno, has initiated its inaugural e-newsletter. The quarterly publication is intended to give those interested in public policy and public affairs a regular update on the work of The Maddy Institute.

       The newsletter will report the top stories involving the institute, as well as updates on its work in the areas of civic engagement, government leadership training and policy analysis. Thoughts from the chairman of the board, the executive director and a current Maddy Scholar intern will be included, as well as updates on the current status of Maddy Institute alumni. In addition, the newsletter will include a calendar will list upcoming events of the institute.e.

 “We hope that our new e-newsletter will help the public learn more about the activities of  The Maddy Institute and, as such, become more informed about, and involved in, the public affairs of the Central Valley, the state and the nation,” said Mark Keppler, executive director.

The Maddy Institute is a 501(c)(3) non-profit entity established by the California Legislature in to honor the life and work of the late Senator Ken Maddy by engaging, preparing and inspiring a new generation of governmental leaders. 

The Maddy newsletter will be e-mailed quarterly (summer, fall, winter and spring) and will also be available on The Maddy Institute Website (www.maddyinstitute.org).  

Keppler said views and comments on the e-newsletter and its contents are welcome and can be sent to mkeppler@csufresno.edu.
