Lunafest, a festival of short films created by, for and about women, will return to Fresno State Nov. 4. Proceeds will benefit The Breast Cancer Fund and the Fresno State Women’s Resource Center.
 
Now in its fifth year nationally, Lunafest is coming to Fresno for a third time. It will travel to more than 60 other locations throughout the country this year. The festival is sponsored by Lunabar. The primary co-sponsor is the Women's Resource Center at Fresno State, which provides services to enhance the learning and working experiences of women in the university community. The University Student Union is also a sponsor.
 
The Women’s Resource Center provides internships and volunteer opportunities, support and discussion groups on a variety of issues, and peer counseling and referral services to women who are coping with personal transitions, crises or any other life experiences for which they need non-judgmental guidance and support.
 
The event will begin at 7 p.m. in the Satellite Student Union. Advance tickets are $8 for students and $10 general. Tickets purchased at the door will be $10 for students and $12 general. Tickets will be available at the USU box office beginning Oct. 1. For more information, call 278.4435.
