Ellen Jamra, a fundraising professional with more than 20 years of experience, has been named assistant campaign director at California State University, Fresno. Jamra previously was director of development at Naropa University in Boulder, Colo., where she oversaw advancement services, the Annual Fund, Alumni Relations, planning of related events and was a member of the major gifts team.

“I am extremely pleased to have Ellen join our development team,” said Fresno State Campaign Director Mary Anna Dunn. “Her experience in fundraising and knowledge of higher education will be a valuable resource as we continue forward with the comprehensive campaign.”

Jamra also worked for the University of Colorado Foundation, both at the Health Sciences Center campus and at the Boulder central offices. Previously, she spent 18 years in development at the Medical College of Ohio in her hometown of Toledo, Ohio. She is a graduate of the University of Colorado-Boulder.

The comprehensive campaign for Fresno State is the largest fundraising effort in the university’s nearly 100-year history. The campaign will support the overall academic excellence of the university, raise new funds to further faculty research and build academic programs and facilities to provide greater learning opportunities for Fresno State students.
