Lynne Twist, author of “The Soul of Money,” will speak at the New Valley InForum Series on Tuesday, March 14. The series is sponsored by The Lyles Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at California State University, Fresno.

An activist, fundraiser, speaker and author, Twist has devoted her life to support of global sustainability and security, human rights, economic integrity and spiritual authenticity. She has raised millions of dollars and trained other fundraisers to be more effective.

Networking will begin at 5:30 p.m. and the program at 6 p.m. The event will be held at the Fresno Veterans Memorial Auditorium, 2425 Fresno St. Tickets are $15 general admission and $10 for students. Tickets for a 7:30 p.m. reception are $10.

Twist will discuss three myths that displace our mindset on how people relate their lives to money. She also will offer a practical guide to using money as a vehicle for recognizing and expressing what we truly value in life.

She along with her husband Bill Twist co-founded the Pachamama Institute, an organization dedicated to preserving the rainforests. Twist was named a “Woman of Distinction” at the United Nations in 1994 by the International Health Awareness Network for her work to end world hunger. She received the Katalysis Foundation’s “Entrepreneur of the Year Award” in 1996. A native of Chicago, Twist graduated from Stanford University.
