The College of Agricultural Sciences and Technology at California State University, Fresno will host the third annual Ag One Stanislaus County Alumni and Friends dinner at Durrer’s barn in Modesto on Thursday, March 30.

The social will begin at 6 p.m., followed by a tri-tip dinner, program and silent auction beginning at 7 p.m.

The new Stanislaus County Alumni Hall of Fame will honor Joe Gambini (1956, BS in Agronomy) and Al Sarina (1956, BA in Marketing) for their contributions to agriculture in the Central Valley.

An update on university news will be provided by Dr. Peter Smits, vice president of University Advancement, and Dr. Dan Bartell, dean of the College of Agricultural Sciences and Technology.

Fresno State faculty and student Ag Ambassadors will be available to talk to prospective students and their parents about programs and careers in agriculture, science and technology.

Proceeds from the event will be added to the newly established Ag One Stanislaus County Alumni and Friends Endowed scholarship fund. To date over $10,300 has been raised to benefit the Ag One – Mike Ciccarelli Memorial Endowed scholarship. The first award was made this academic year to senior agricultural business major student Meggie Fagundes.

Tickets are $30 each with a range of sponsorship levels from $100 to $1,000 available. Reservation deadline is Thursday, March 23 by calling Ag One at 559.278.4266.
