British author and actress Nouritza Matossian, who will lecture on 20th century abstract-expressionist painter Arshile Gorky and perform a play about the artist at Fresno State, is available for interviews Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings.
Members of the media can meet with her from 10 a.m. to noon in the Satellite Student Union. In addition, her rehearsals with students for her Wednesday evening performance may be observed Monday Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon, but she will not be available for interviews then.
Matossian will lecture Tuesday on “A Case of Mistaken Identity: Why Arshile Gorky Changed His Name.” On Wednesday, April 19, she will perform a play about Gorky. Both events are in the Satellite Student Union.
The events and several others on campus are part of the Gorky Festival sponsored by the Fresno Art Museum and the Armenian Museum.
