The Veritas Forum, a three-day interdisciplinary discussion exploring questions concerning God, truth and humanity, will begin at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 20, at California State University, Fresno.

Forum discussions will be held in University Student Union rooms 312-314 on Tuesday and various campus locations on Wednesday and Thursday, Feb. 21 and 22. All 10 sessions are free and open to the public.

The lectures followed by question-and-answer sessions will address topics such as Christianity, social justice, pornography, human progression, moral law, tolerance, musical expression and the existence of a soul.

The forum will end at 7 p.m. Feb 22 with a panel discussion of “What does it mean to be human?” Philosophers Richard M. Gale from the University of Tennessee, Garrett DeWeesee of Talbot School of Theology and Terry Winant of Fresno State will be joined by theologian Tim Geddert of the Mennonite Brethren Biblical Seminary on a panel for the culminating event.

Veritas Forums are organized on college campuses throughout the nation to offer discussions about life’s difficult questions and the relevance of Jesus Christ. Among the sponsors of the local event are Associated Students Inc. at Fresno State.
