World water supply is conference focus

Water technology innovations and scientific developments that can help ensure the world’s future water supply will be the focus of the inaugural International Water Technology Conference and Ozone V at California State University, Fresno.

The conference, which convenes April 2-4 at the Save Mart Center, is sponsored by the International Center for Water Technology (ICWT) at Fresno State. ICWT was established in 2001 as a public-private partnership to develop and apply advanced technologies that enhance water use for urban, environmental and agricultural purposes.

ICWT’s conference aim is to bring together the world’s best minds in water technology and science to consider how their experiences can be applied to water supply, water reuse, irrigation and ozone science.

“We have a stellar line-up of keynote and technical speakers and are proud to be able to hold this event at one of the premier on-campus facilities in the U.S.,” said David Zoldoske, the ICWT director. “We will be holding a number of conference events at the Save Mart Center such as exhibits, keynote lunches and a reception.”

Another venue will be the soon-to-open Water and Energy Technology Center on the Fresno State campus, collaboration between the ICWT and the Central Valley Business Incubator.

Exhibit space is available at the conference, which will be attended by manufacturers, scientists, end-users, government and regulatory agencies, municipalities, researchers and agribusiness.

Technical sessions April 2 and 3 will fall into three track areas: Water Supply and Reuse, Irrigation and Antimicrobial Ozone/Agri-Foods. April 4 is an optional day devoted to full-day technical tours of water treatment, food processing, irrigation and other facilities. A conference program listing technical presentations and registration information for attendees and exhibitors are available by calling 559.278.2066 or online at www.icwt.net.
