The Quarter Horse Unit at California State University, Fresno will host a silent auction of selected quarter horses from Saturday, June 9, to June 23.

By visiting www.fresnostatehorses.com, the public can bid directly on a specific horse. Simply click on the link to “Place Bid Now.” Individuals can also call or e-mail to place a bid. The lowest acceptable price is listed for each horse. Methods of payment include cashier’s check or credit card.

The sale is being conducted to reduce herd inventory.

Prospective buyers can make an appointment to see the horses by calling the Quarter Horse Unit at 559.278.4017. Previews will be held on June 16, from 9 a.m. to noon; on June 22 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., and on June 23 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Pre-purchase exams at buyer’s expense may be conducted. All sales are final.

The Web site will be updated periodically as information on the horses changes, particularly the breeding status of broodmares. The Quarter Horse Unit reserves the right to take horses out of the silent auction if needed.
