Forensic science takes center stage at the Nov. 5 Central Valley Cafe Scientifique, when Dr. Kevin Miller of the Fresno State Department of Chemistry presents “Over my dead body: a coffee house discussion.”

The event will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Lenny’s Bistro Deli in the River Park shopping center (across from the movie theaters). The main presentation will begin at 7, followed by discussion.

Miller is an assistant professor of forensic biochemistry and co-developer of the professional science master’s program in forensic science, and the joint doctoral program in forensic science and forensic behavioral science.

Central Valley Cafe Scientifique meets the first Monday of each month to provide a forum for Fresno State and other scientists to engage in casual discussion of scientific topics with community members. The next gathering will be Dec. 3

Partners in organizing Central Valley Cafe Scientifique are the College of Science and Mathematics at California State University, Fresno and Clovis Technopolis.
