Bill Mays, one of the nation’s premier jazz pianists, composers and arrangers will perform in concert at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 25, at California State University, Fresno’s Concert Hall in the Music Building.

Mays will be joined by Marvin Stamm (trumpet) and Alisa Horn (cello). Together the trio is Inventions.

Mays’ versatile career has included work with such leading jazz artists as Al Jarreau, Gerry Mulligan, Toots Thielemans and Sarah Vaughan.

The performance is a special presentation of the Philip Lorenz Memorial Keyboard Concert Series, which brings classical keyboard artists to the Fresno State campus throughout the year. Mays’ performance is co-sponsored by JazzFresno and the campus radio station, KFSR, FM 90.7.

Mays and Stamm also will present Nov. 26 at three free clinics on campus, co-sponsored by the Fresno State Department of Music.

Tickets are $12.50 general, $7 seniors and $5 students.
