How to choose your mate - if you're a primate - will be discussed when Dr.
Kaberi Kar-Gupta, a primatologist, speaks at the Feb. 4 meeting of Central Valley Cafe Scientifique.

The topic, "Size Matters: a tale of male mating strategies in nonhuman primates," is a pre-Valentine's Day special that will address the biological and evolutionary implications of mating in primates and how it plays a major role in regulating relationships within primate social groups.

The meeting will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Lucy's Lair, 10063 N.
Maple Ave (northwest corner of Maple and Behymer). The main presentation will begin at 7, followed by discussion. Seating is limited.

Central Valley Cafe Scientifique meets the first Monday of each month to provide a forum for researchers from Fresno State and other organizations to engage in casual discussion of scientific topics with community members.
