“Engineers at the Mall” on Saturday, Feb. 23, and Sunday, Feb. 24, at the Sierra Vista Mall in Clovis will feature the work of students in California State University’s College of Engineering.

As part of National Engineers Week 2008, Fresno State Engineering Students Joint Council will be at the Mervyn’s Court area from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.

Students will demonstrate and discuss such projects as their concrete canoe and steel bridge, 2008 Human Powered Vehicle and Formula One car.

Student clubs represented at the event are American Society of Civil Engineers, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, Engineers Without Borders, Institutes of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, Society of Automotive Engineers, Students in Construction and Surveyors and Geomatics Engineers.

Fresno State’s College of Engineering Department has been observing National Engineers Week since Tuesday with such events as a club fair, donuts with Dean Michael Jenkins, a professional development program and a résumé workshop as well as an engineering counselor’s forum.
