Original 25-second video clips with the theme “I am Fresno State!” are being accepted for the second annual contest at California State University, Fresno.

Last’s year contest received national recognition from The New York Times. Reporter Stuart Elliott wrote: “A university in California [had]… a campus competition to create video clips that are meant to… stir feelings of pride among students, alumni and members of the faculty and staff. California State University [Fresno] also known as Fresno State, called the contest “I Am Fresno State” named after… iamfresnostate.com. The competition also involved the Web [platforms]… already popular with students… MySpace and YouTube.” (May 22, 2007)

Prizes available are $1,000 for first place, $300 for second place, $200 for third place and $200 for viewers’ choice. The contest is open to students, alumni and friends. Deadline is April 21, 2008.
