Take Back the Night – an annual candlelight march and rally calling attention to violence against women – will begin at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, in the Peace Garden at California State University, Fresno.
Take Back the Night is an international movement to raise awareness of domestic and sexual violence and violence toward children. The Fresno State rally is organized by the Women’s Alliance and the Women’s Resource Center.
Organizers said the event includes speakers, music and information tables. It provides an opportunity for community members to express concern about and openly oppose violence against women.
