CWS championship play begins Monday vs. Georgia Bulldogs

The Fresno State Bulldogs have made history, becoming the first lowest NCAA seed to battle its way into the College World Series championship bracket that begins Monday. The ‘Dogs did it by beating the University of North Carolina 6-1 Sunday night. It will now be a true ‘Dog Fight as Fresno State faces the University of Georgia Bulldogs in Game One of the CWS Championship Monday night at 4 pm (PDT). The university is planning a public welcome home celebration for our “Underdog to Wonderdogs,” win or lose in the finals, for either Wednesday or Thursday at 7 p.m. in Beiden Field.
