CSU Summer Arts box office open at Fresno State

A box office is open in the Speech Arts Building at California State University, Fresno to process ticket orders for the 2008 public performances that are part of the CSU Summer Arts schedule.

Master teachers in the program’s two-week courses across the arts spectrum present lectures and performances in dozens of events – most of them on campus – throughout the monthlong Summer Arts season.

The first curtain is at 7 p.m. June 29 when Urban Bush Women dance in concert at the John Wright Theatre. Ticketed events conclude at 8 p.m. July 24 with a memoir reading by William Vollman in the Wahlberg Recital Hall.

Box office hours are: noon-6 p.m. Monday-Friday and 1-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The box office phone number is 559.278.5109.

Ticket prices are $25-$30 (reserved seating for selected events), $10-$25 (general admission) and $7-$25 (students, seniors, Fresno State faculty and staff). While most events are on the Fresno State campus, four are at other venues in Fresno.

Tickets for all CSU Summer Arts events are available from the box office that serves University Productions during the academic year. It is located just east of the Wright and Dennis and Cheryl Woods theatres on the northeastern side of the Speech Arts Building.

Tickets also are available by mail (CSU Summer Arts Box Office, 1530 E. Shaw Ave., Suite 119, Fresno, CA 93710), facsimile (559.278.0522) or online (http://csusummerarts.org/pdf/2008_ticket_form.pdf).

Tickets are nonrefundable, but patrons unable to attend can call the box office before curtain to donate tickets to CSU Summer Arts and receive a letter of acknowledgment.
