Hungry students at Fresno State have many choices on campus. There are breakfast sandwiches, fruit, muffins and more at the University Student Union Snack Bar, fast-food Mexican, Chinese and sandwiches in The Pit, fine dining in the Vintage Room and all kinds of food choices throughout the day.

All the information about dining choices and weekly specials at restaurants is posted on the University Dining Services Web site, www.fresnostatedining.com <http://www.fresnostatedining.com/> .

Dining on campus has few changes from the lineup last fall.

“Five Buck Friday” in the University Dining Hall (a new name for what was University Courtyard Dining Hall last year) provides buffet meals for guests at $5 on Fridays. Also, the Round Table Pizza restaurant on campus has closed.

On the “green” front, the University Dining Hall will eliminate trays this week to reduce water and food waste.

The Bucket Grill and Pub and university catering departments will be using eco-friendly utensils and other products. Included are cups, plates, napkins, to-go containers, coffee cup sleeves and stirrers. The products use corn- and sugar-based utensils that are compostable. Dining Services is working with the University Farm on composting.
