The Rue and Gwen Gibson Farm Market at California State University, Fresno is leading in its category of a national online contest to determine America’s Favorite Farmers Market. The deadline for voting is fast approaching – Saturday, Aug. 8.
The American Farmland Trust, a nonprofit organization based in Washington, D.C., is sponsoring the contest that encourages patrons of farm markets throughout the nation to vote for their favorite in large, medium and small categories. Fresno State’s market is in the small category.
Each of the three winners will receive America’s Favorite Farmers Market designation and “No Farms, No Food”® tote bags to distribute to their customers.

The market is at the southeast corner of Chestnut and Barstow avenues and is open 8 a.m-7 p.m. Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday.
