Students who are concerned about graduating on time have a new opportunity at California State University, Fresno. The Division of Continuing and Global Education announced that it will be offering a variety of accelerated courses during Winter Intersession, January 5 – 20, 2010.

A second May/June Intersession is scheduled for May 24 – June 14, 2010, between the spring and summer sessions. All Intersession courses are open to both current Fresno State students as well as those not formally admitted.

“For some students, one or two courses can make the difference between graduating on time and having to stay in school for an extra semester,” said Berta González, associate vice president of Continuing and Global Education. “Intersession gives students the opportunity to complete additional coursework with a greater focus during the shortened terms.” Students are allowed to complete up to four units during each Intersession.

Fees for Intersession are $286 per unit, which is especially beneficial for non-resident and international students since the cost for an Intersession course is lower than the fee during a regular semester.

Registration for Winter Intersession closes Dec. 1. Course listings and registration information are available online at .
