Peach Blossom Festival is March 18-19

January 25, 2010 – 10:48 AM

The 52nd annual Peach Blossom Festival of Oral Interpretation will be held March 18 and 19 at California State University, Fresno, attracting an estimated 6,000 pupils from nearly 200 San Joaquin Valley elementary schools.

Youngsters at schools from Livingston to Delano will participate in this year’s festival, which is hosted by the Department of Communication, housed in the College of Arts and Humanities.

The festival was created to help young people gain knowledge and appreciation of literature through oral interpretation and performance, while providing them an opportunity to visit a university campus.
