Institute for Family Business plans performance roundtable

The Institute for Family Business within the Craig School of Business at California State University, Fresno presents a Family Business and Financial Performance workshop at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 1, at the University Business Center.

Participants will learn about the need for small business owners to conduct a business performance review that includes audits of management and financial performance to be able to provide financial information necessary to obtain a loan with local banks.

The speakers are Elizabeth Shields, a professor in Fresno State’s Department of Finance and Business Law,, and Debra Raven from Valley Small Business Development Corp. Their presentation will be followed by a roundtable discussion.

A wine and cheese reception is planned after the discussion.

Registration costs $25 for nonmembers of the institute. Complimentary parking passes are available with RSVPs, which may be made through Lori Few at 559.278.5662 or lfew@csufresno.edu.
