“Peace the World Together with Children’s Books” is the theme of an international conference that will be hosted in the fall by the Arne Nixon Center for the Study of Children’s Literature at California State University, Fresno.

The 9th annual International Board of Books for Young People (IBBY) conference will be held Oct. 21-23. It will bring together nearly 300 teachers, librarians and children’s book enthusiasts and scholars from around the world. The world of children’s and young adult literature will be discussed in lectures and workshops lead by world renowned children’s book authors and illustrators.

Registration is available online. The conference is sponsored by the United States Board of Books for Young People.
The Arne Nixon Center is one of North America’s leading resources for the study of children’s and young adult literature.  The Center collects and preserves historic pieces of study related to children’s and young adult literature.
