California State University, Fresno’s million-hour community service achievement during the 2009-10 academic year will be honored during the nationally televised men’s basketball game against Louisiana tech University at 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 5, at the Save Mart Center.

Students, faculty and staff who have volunteered in community service will take the floor at half time to be recognized and a video tribute will be screened. Fresno State community service beneficiaries included community food banks, charitable organizations, churches, environmental preservative initiatives, local schools, blood drives and more.

The Red Cross Save a Family drive, which helps families in Fresno and Madera counties during emergencies, will be collecting donations during the game for fans attending the game that wish to contribute.
