The Untenured Faculty Research Showcase – 1-2:30 p.m. March 22 at the Kremen School of Education and Human Development – is an exhibit of the range of research being done at California State University, Fresno.

The showcase will be presented in Room 54 at the Atrium level of the Kremen School (at Maple and Keats avenues).

Those making presentations at the event are:

Dr. Yongsheng Gao, assistant professor of physics, whose topic is: “Fresno State and the California State University’s  ATLAS Research Program at the Large Hadron Collider of the European Organization for Nuclear Research.”

Dr. Maria-Aparecida Lopes, assistant professor of Chicano and Latin American Studies, “Livestock Economy and Meat Consumption in the Late 19th Century: The Cases of Brazil and Mexico.”

Dr. Roksana Badruddoja, assistant professor of Women’s Studies, “Racial and Ethnic Imaginary: ‘Second-Generation’ South Asian-American Women and Projects of (Re-) Negotiation.”

Dr. Sandra Siok Lee, assistant professor, department of linguistics, “Assessing Computer-Based Writing Assessment: Some Suggestions for Adapting Criterion Use in Writing Classes.”

Allison A. Cowgill, head of reference in the Henry Madden Library, “Usability Study of the Library’s Website.”

The moderator is Dr. Melanie Ram, an assistant professor of political science, coordinator of the Master of Arts in International Relations and research support chair of the Untenured Faculty Organization, established in 2009 at Fresno State.
