Dr. Peter G. Mehas, an alumnus of California State University, Fresno, and a trustee of the California State University system, has written an article for The Fresno Bee outlining the impact of diminished state support for California higher education as part of massive budget cuts.

Mehas writes: “The CSU system and our students are taking a disproportionate share of the budget cuts. Without a commitment to higher education from the state of California, the ‘People’s University’ will no longer be able to ensure access and excellence to our students. The consequences will be profound and to the detriment of us all.”
