Fresno State will be closed March 30 for the state’s Cesar E. Chavez Day of Service and Learning, but in the days prior, several events are planned on campus to celebrate National Farmworker Awareness Week March 25-31. The Chávez Conference on Literacy and Educational Policy will be March 23-24.  Library displays commemorating the life of the United Farm Workers founder and the campesino movement will be in the Henry Madden Library March 26-29. The College Assistance Migrant Program will hold a blood drive 9 a.m.-4 p.m. March 26 in the Free Speech Area. Fresno State’s 16th annual César E. Chávez Celebration will be 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, in the Peace Garden.
