Raegan Pebley, a former Women’s National Basketball Association player who in nine seasons rebuilt Utah State’s women’s basketball team into a Western Athletic Conference title contender, was hired to coach Fresno State’s perennial conference champion Bulldogs.

She succeeds Adrian Wiggins, who coached Fresno State to five straight postseason appearances before departing to coach at Ole Miss.

Pebley was named the WAC Coach of the Year when the Aggies finished third and won a program record 18 games. She was the 2012 Russell Athletic/Women’s Basketball Coaches Association Region 7 Coach of the Year after Utah State won 21 games and finished second in the conference to Fresno State.
