Members of Fresno State’s student veterans organizations will participate in the Welcome Home Parade beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, in downtown Clovis. The parade, which steps off from the Clovis Veterans Memorial District Hall (Fourth and Hughes streets), honors central San Joaquin Valley veterans of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan). There will also be a tribute to Vietnam War veterans on the 50th anniversary of that conflict. The event includes breakfast and lunch and a jobs and resource fair for veterans and their families.
