The second annual Fall Manufacturing Conference begins at 8 a.m. Friday, Oct. 12, at the Radisson Hotel and Conference Center in downtown Fresno, presented by Fresno State’s University Center to Advance Manufacturing.

The event is geared for central San Joaquin Valley engineering and technology managers who deal with manufacturing, processing and addressing global issues.

Workshops will be presented engineering and technical management organizations and by federal, state and local leaders, educators and economists. Topics include LEAN initiatives, safety principles, project management, basic-quality techniques, workforce education efforts and funding opportunities.

Conference sponsors are Betts Spring Co., CMTC (Creating Solutions),Fresno Valves and Castings and Fresno Regional Workforce Investment Board.

Registration is $40 and includes lunch.
