The Veterans Education Program, new at Fresno State for central San Joaquin Valley veterans, plans an open house 2-3 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, at the Lab School (Keats Avenue between Barton and Maple avenues – access from Shaw Avenue). The six-week intensive instructional program, which is designed to ease the transition from military life to academics, begins in January. Coordinator Daniel Bernard and his staff will be available to discuss the program, which is funded by a start-up grant from the Commission of the Extended University and housed within the Division of Continuing and Global Education.
