CineCulture will host a presentation by Ron McAndrew and Jerry Givens, “From Executioner to Advocate — Why Two Former Executioners Support Replacing the Death Penalty,” at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26, at the Fresno State Music Building, Room 160. The film “Conviction” will be screened at 5:30 p.m. at the Leon. S. and Pete P. Peters Educational Center in the Student Recreation Center. The film, starring Hilary Swank, depicts a single mother whose world is shattered when her brother is convicted of murder and sentenced to life in prison. Both events are free and open to the public.
