Fresno State students will help plant more than 15 native trees at River Vista and Ledger Island on the San Joaquin River for Vegetation Planting Day beginning at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 3. Volunteers will meet at the San Joaquin Fish Hatchery on Friant Road. This is the third year Fresno State students from Dr. Mark Somma’s political science class and the Smittcamp Family Honors College have participated.
