The flags on the Fresno State campus will be lowered to half-staff on Friday, Feb, 22, in memory of Professor Emeritus of Art and Design Thomas McDougall, who died Jan. 26. Known as the “Ceramics Professor,” he taught thousands of students the basics of molding clay for 34 years. Fresno State President John D. Welty issued the directive that the flags be lowered in honor of Professor McDougall. A memorial luncheon will be held at noon Saturday, Feb. 23, in the Tuscan Room at Pardini’s restaurant.
