Black Hawk helicopters on campus

Two Black Hawk helicopters from the California Army National Guard in Fresno will land on the Fresno State campus at 2:30 p.m. today for an exercise with the Fresno State Army ROTC program.

They will land at the Intramural Field (Barstow Avenue and Campus Drive east of Cedar) where cadets of the ROTC’s Bulldog Battalion will first get a ground demonstration of the Black Hawks.

At 3 p.m., the engines will be re-started and the cadets will board the helicopters for the airborne portion of the exercise conducted by the National Guard Flight Activity.

There will be several liftoffs until about 4 p.m., reports Jacob Olson, Army ROTC cadet.
