Fresno State’s CineCulture program will screen “Archeology of Memory: Villa Grimaldi,” 5:30 p.m. Friday, May 3, in the Leon S. and Pete P. Peters Educational Center in the Student Recreation Center (Woodrow and Shaw avenues). The film follows exiled Chilean musician, Quique Cruz, from the Bay Area to Chile and back to the U.S. in a unique journey as he creates his master work, a multimedia art piece to heal his wounds inflicted by state sponsored torture of the Pinochet regime.

Filmmaker Marilyn Mulford will lead a post-screening discussion. The free and open event is co-sponsored by the Modern & Classical Languages & Literatures Department and the Chicano Latin American Studies Department.
