Fresno-area drivers may encounter additional traffic around the Save Mart Center during the morning commute, Wednesday, Aug. 14. The arena is hosting a back-to-school convocation for the Fresno Unified School District. Organizers expect approximately 10,000 teachers to attend. The event runs from 8:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m., and the Fresno State Police Dept. will be assisting to directing traffic. To access the campus from Shaw Avenue, vehicles are encouraged to use Maple and Barton Avenues to avoid traffic congestion from the event. To access the campus from Barstow Avenue, use Maple Avenue.
