Parents of incoming Fresno State students will be greeted by University President Joseph I. Castro and other officials at Parent Welcome Night, 6 – 8 pm. Tuesday, Aug.27, at the Smittcamp Alumni House courtyard. The program begins at 6:30 p.m. and will include a representative  from University Police to discuss campus safety as well as a brief question and answer session with President Castro. Parents can learn more about many opportunities and resources available for students and meet other Fresno State families. Hors d’oeuvres, desserts and door prizes will be available. While the free event targets the parents of incoming students, all Fresno State parents are welcome said Paul DeRuosi, director of the Parents Association, which co-sponsors the event with the Division of Student Affairs.
