Alumna Gena Strang-Behrens is Fresno State President Joseph I. Castro’s first appointment to the University Advisory Board, a panel of community members who advise the president regarding the improvement and development of the university. Strang-Behrens played softball for the Bulldogs from 1985-88, graduating in 1988 with a bachelor’s degree in Criminology. She is now a sales associate for Ideasplus Promotional Products in Fresno and married to John Behrens, a Fresno State quarterback in 1971-72. She has three stepchildren and six step-grandchildren.
