Fresno State President Joseph I. Castro has ordered the university’s flags to be posted at half-staff daily beginning Tuesday, Sept. 17, through Sept. 20 in keeping with a proclamation by President Barak Obama “as a mark of respect for the victims of the senseless acts of violence perpetrated on September 16, 2013, at the Washington Navy Yard.” Presidential Proclamation — Honoring the Victims of the Tragedy at the Washington Navy Yard.
(The university’s flags are posted at the three locations and Athletics events: Thomas Administration Building Rose Garden — east end of the Memorial Court and Fountain; the North Gym — Campus Drive south off Barstow; and the Save Mart Center – Shaw between Chestnut and Woodrow).
