“A Place at the Table,” a film that examines the state of food access, hunger and obesity in the local community, will be shown 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19 in the Leon S. & Pete P. Peters Educational Center in the Student Recreation Center (Shaw and Woodrow avenues). The free, public event is presented by Fresno Metro Ministry and several Fresno State programs. The film also examines what can be done to make healthy food available and affordable for all. Following the screening is a panel discussion about local and campus wide hunger issues.
